Lesson 9: Show Off Your Menu
Now that you’ve mastered the art of meal planning, stick with the YES™ Plan diet until you reach your weight loss goals. You can make substitutions and modifications to the basic plan by using nutritional calculators available online. Soon, you’ll create a range of customized menus for eating out, entertaining, eating on the run, etc. Share your menus with others–everyone in the class will help to build an online library of menus and food choices!

Assignments
1. Activity: Share Your Menu.
Share the menu you created in the previous lesson with your classmates. You can either post it as text in the Weight Loss That Works Discussion or, create a homepage on ThirdAge and post its location in your class Discussion.

2. Activity: Modify Meal Plans.
Continue to use the YES™ Plan menus as a basis for planning and modifying your meals, until you’ve reached your weight loss goal. Then, gradually increase portion sizes until you’ve achieved the optimal number of calories per day to maintain your weight without losing or gaining.

3. Discussion: Stay in Touch with Others.
Stay in touch with others who share your interest in nutrition and weight loss, by participating in these discussions:

~~editor’s note. Today, tomorrow, and the next day are all overview lessons, so I will not be doing them other than to display them for ease of anyone deciding to join this course online. Any comments by you all are welcomed. I was very appreciative of this mini-course, and naturally was impressed by the price–FREE.
I will return to my regular format of blogging until or unless I find something I think our readers would be interested in participating in.
As a side note, I started this blog at 225 pounds. Lost a few, gained a few and on Monday was back up to 225. I was pleased however to not gain the dreaded holiday 8-10 pounds.
We started a new challenge Monday at http://invisionfree.com/forums/Grace_Today and for Day two was down to 222. My weight does fluctuate, but I feel good about my scale reading because that was genuine effort and strategy. Watch this space, as they say. I am practicing our positive article from yesterday. :)
